Founded in 1957, the Whyalla Surf Life Saving Club has provided a surf lifesaving service to the beach going public in Whyalla.
Members of the club get to learn nationally-accredited courses including surf lifesaving skills, rescues, first aid, CPR, radio operations and power craft operations.
Adult members have access to water safety and first aid training, use of facilities including toilets and change room and use of equipment.

Our Accessible Beach Program is in operation during patrolled beach seasons, generally Easter to October, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays (and other times by prior arrangement).
We have two types of beach wheelchairs available, a Sandpiper chair (for children up to 80kg) and a Sandcruiser chair (for adults up to 120kg).
