About the Order of Saint John (OSJ);
The Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller traces its origins to 1048, when Brother Gérard established a hospital in Jerusalem to care for pilgrims and the sick. Recognised by Pope Paschal II in 1113, the Order has continued for nearly a millennium as an ecumenical Christian order devoted to serving the poor, needy and disadvantaged. In Australasia, the Grand Priory supports charitable projects across communities, and the Priory of South Australia upholds this tradition through local initiatives such as our Limestone Coast Group, we are in are infancy as we have only been going for just over 12 months, and our looking to build our profile across the Limestone Coast.
