For over half a century, the Willunga Branch of the National Trust has been dedicated to safeguarding the region’s rich heritage with our core aim to protect and conserve the local natural, built and cultural legacy. We aspire to foster a community that values and enjoys its heritage, seeing it as an integral and vibrant part of our identity.
Through a range of activities and programs, we actively promote and celebrate our history. We advocate for heritage protection, build and retain knowledge of the past, and ensure its communication to future generations. The district’s fascinating history is reflected in the stories and artefacts housed in our Courthouse, Police Station and Slate Museums.
The Willunga branch operates entirely through volunteer efforts as part of National Trust South Australia. Our funding is derived from museum admissions, art exhibitions, workshops, venue hire to community groups, and donations. This approach supports our ongoing commitment to heritage preservation and community enrichment.
