Green Thumb Farm is a community-led educational farm and nursery in Samford Valley, just 35 minutes from Brisbane CBD. We're a registered charity and certified social enterprise, working to reconnect our community with how food is grown — and to demonstrate how regenerative farming can heal soil, boost biodiversity, and build climate resilience.
Every Saturday, our Farmgate Market brings together 300+ local households for fresh, chemical-free produce, local honey, artisan sourdough, seedlings, and more — supported by 50+ dedicated local volunteers who are the heartbeat of everything we do.
Beyond the market, we run hands-on educational programs for schools and early learning centres (950+ students in 2025), our Little Green Thumbs sensory program for young children and their caregivers (250+ participants), and corporate volunteering days that connect local businesses with the land (260+ participants in 2025). We also run Gather & Grow workshops, teaching practical regenerative skills like composting and seasonal gardening.
At our core, we're about more than growing food — we're growing a healthier, more connected, more resilient community, one that understands where food comes from and feels empowered to be part of the solution.
