Food on the Table is a 100% not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to providing hearty, healthy and nutritious meals to South Australians in need. We support individuals and families experiencing homelessness, escaping family and domestic violence, living in temporary accommodation and facing food insecurity.
Each week, we prepare and deliver over 4,000 nutritious meals through a network of charity/community partners. The impact of these meals extends well beyond food provision. For many recipients, FOTT meals provide immediate relief in times of crisis, removing the barrier of sourcing, preparing, or affording food. Ready-to-eat meals such as pastas, curries, and stir-fries are particularly important for young people, individuals in unstable housing, and those experiencing domestic violence, where access to cooking facilities, time, or resources may be limited.
Being mostly supported by volunteers, including our board, the generosity of the community and our networks we are an incredibly passionate tribe of people just hoping to make a difference.
