When families first begin to worry about their child’s development, it can be an uncertain and overwhelming time. They may not know where to turn, who to ask, or what steps to take. EarlyEd is here to provide guidance, clarity and support at this critical moment.
For over 47 years, EarlyEd has been a trusted, local not-for-profit organisation supporting children with developmental concerns, delays and disability, and their families across Northern and Western Sydney. Our purpose is to ensure that every child and family can access the right support, at the right time, from the earliest possible stage.
EarlyEd guides over 800 families annually to find their way, to feel less isolated, be listened to without judgement, to better understand their child’s needs, and be supported to take the next steps with confidence. A significant number of children with disability have unmet support needs often due to cost, limited service availability, and funding barriers. EarlyEd helps bridge this gap by providing community-based support, trusted guidance and practical assistance, ensuring families are not left to navigate complex support systems alone.
Your donation through the Community Lottery means that EarlyEd can continue this work.
For every:
20 tickets purchased: Provides a phone consultation with a family concerned about their child’s development.
100 tickets purchased: Gives a 1-hour individualised session to help a family understand what support is available to suit their child’s needs and to get started
200 tickets purchased: Provides a supported playgroup and information session for multiple families where they can find answers to questions about their child’s developmental needs, connect with other parents, grandparents and carers and children and learn new ways to support their child’s learning and development.
What does it look like for families if EarlyEd reaches its fundraising target?
1250 family phone consultations and guidance on what to do next
250 individualised sessions of support to map out a path forward for families
125 supported playgroup sessions that connect families, reduce feelings of isolation, help families learn ways to support their child’s development.
Help EarlyEd help families to find their way and feel supported!
