Burra Community School is a government Reception to Year 12 (R–12) school located in the historic Mid North town of Burra, approximately 155 kilometres north of Adelaide. The school provides a continuous educational pathway from the early years through to senior secondary, serving students from Burra and the surrounding rural communities.
The Burra Community School Governing Council is a dedicated group of parents, staff, students and community members who work in partnership with the Principal to provide strategic leadership and governance for the school. The Council helps shape the school's long-term vision, supports decision-making that enhances student learning and wellbeing, oversees the responsible use of school resources, and ensures the school continues to reflect the values, aspirations and needs of its community.
