OurTiddas Incorporated is a community-led organisation created to support Aboriginal women and their families through culture, connection, healing and belonging.
Our group provides culturally safe spaces where women can come together, build friendships, share knowledge and feel supported without judgement. Our activities include yarning circles, art and creative workshops, dance, cultural activities, truth-telling, sharing lived experience, cultural outings and opportunities to connect with community and Country.
At the heart of OurTiddas is the belief that healing happens through connection. Many of the women we support have experienced family violence, homelessness, trauma, social disadvantage and isolation. We focus on women's strengths rather than the challenges they have faced.
OurTiddas is about women supporting women, strengthening identity and kinship, improving wellbeing and creating opportunities for women and their families to feel connected, valued and able to thrive within their community.
