Huon Valley Alphabet Mafia

Alphabet Mafia is a peer-support group for Neurodivergent & LGBTIQA+ Youth in Tasmania. We are based in the Huon Valley, where we offer weekly social gatherings, events, workshops, social connection, and resources. Mafians (Alphabet Mafia members) gain access to a private community discord server and a 24/7 online Minecraft Realm.
Queer youth are disproportionately affected by depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. Hosting safe, inclusive and accessible spaces provides the protective factors young people need to remain health and connected to their communities and peers. Health, happy young people have better educational outcomes, better overall health, and stronger social engagement.
